July DSC Meeting Moved to JULY 10

Due to the Independence Day holiday, the regular District Service Committee (DSC) meeting scheduled for July 3, will be held on Thursday, July 10, at the regular location. (Chips, Books and Financials 7:00 pm; Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm)

Find Out How Your Service Is Needed!

Trusted Servants of District 6 meet on the first Thursday of each month to tend to the business of the Northern Los Angeles MA meetings and their membership.

Who?		+ All MA Members are Welcome and Wanted. + Meeting GSRs and District Officers Are Essential Participants
When?		First Thursday of each month GSRs please arrive at 7:00 p.m. to transact business (!) Meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.
Where?		Sherman Oaks Recreation Center (Sherman Oaks Park); 5056 Van Nuys Blvd. (between Magnolia and Riverside).
Why?		Free MA Literature including A New Leaf is available to GSRs. Life With Hope Books and MA Chips are available for purchase. Most importantly, we meet to help carry the message of recovery to the addict who still suffers

Our District's Relation to MA World Services

The Fellowship of Marijuana Anonymous (MA) is served by the non-profit corporation called Marijuana Anonymous World Services (MAWS). MAWS' purpose is to provide services necessary for the fellowship of MA to function. Similarly, District 6 strives to serve the MA meetings in the Northern Los Angeles Metropolitan area. District 6 is one of thirteen MA Districts that have chosen to support the broader services offered by MAWS. There are numerous individual meetings all over the world, as well as individuals, that may make use of the services offered by MAWS.
